Where curiosity meets making

We're a 40-year-old technology community reinventing ourselves as a makerspace. 3D printing, crafts, workshop, electronics, and a bunch of crossovers between them. We're building something new and there's room for you in it.

WBuilding a CNC at MelbPCe started in 1984 as Melbourne PC User Group — one of the largest home computing clubs in the world. Today we own our premium premises in Moorabbin, and we're using that foundation to build something genuinely new. Moorabbin MakerSpace is that something.

What we have is just the beginning.

A podcast studio. A mechanical workshop. 3D printers you can take home. An electronics bench. A CNC router currently being built by members. A craft program that started with a sewing circle and went somewhere nobody expected.

But honestly? We're only getting started.Member showing off patchwork quilt

We're looking for people who don't just want to use a makerspace — they want to help build one. New members who've joined recently haven't just signed up, they've rolled their sleeves up. That's the culture we're growing.

Bring your passion — machining, coding, crafts, music, photography, whatever it is. We'll provide the space, the tools, the community, and the support. You provide the energy and the ideas.

This is a ground floor opportunity. The lift is going up.
